In the first part of the trilogy, "The Path of the Sunflower," you and your daughter built a sunflower labyrinth in memory of your wife Clara, your daughter's beloved mother. Every year you solve the puzzles and build a new, even larger and more beautiful labyrinth. But one day something terrible happens, and the peaceful tradition is abruptly interrupted when your daughter doesn't return from the labyrinth.
